Another set of quotes:

Make sure you have finished speaking before your audience has finished listening.
- Dorothy Sarnoff

If the past isn't past, what is?

A hero is led by destiny, everyone else is dragged along by it.

Adventure's just another word for trouble

History is not written by the hand of intent. It's the deeds alone that matter.

There is nothing that cannot be forgiven but the failure to confess

You suffer for what you fail to confess, even when you fail to confess it to yourself

These [poetry] are the fragments which you may one day shore against your ruins

Most of the quotes were taken from THE UNCANNY by Andrew Klavan (sp?). It's an excellent horror/ghost novel . . he really is a wonderful writer with a gift for making words dance at his beck and call . at leas in this book. I'll have to pick up another of his works to see if he was a one-hit wonder in the talent department.
