The Man has Patience

Not that a 44 year old that's led a normal (aka occasionally fun) life has any hope of a political career,  but Bay View's Facebook page has nixed any desire for it anyway.  Alderman Tony Zielinski is constantly,  and I mean CONSTANTLY, ridiculed, libeled,  and blamed for everything that happens, from the bad to the ridiculous,  in the district.  To his credit,  he takes the hits and still wades in the mire.  The hell with that.  I'd tell people to F off at least six times a day in his job.

An Explanation

Of course the McCain's hate the President.  Most Democrats do.

Why Poll Data Leans Left

Conservative don't trust polling numbers because of a) 2016, which I hold as an outlier and b) conservative reluctance to participate in what they see (correctly) as a biased media. Most conservatives I know go out of their way to avoid a political survey,  even hanging up on pollsters.

Nice Job

Apparently ABC News is unaware that Walker is Governor, not a Congressman.

Please ABC, try not to so easily feed my scorn for the media.

What??

Cory Booker, actor - er, Senator - extraordinaire, wants Homeland Security to devote 73% of its time to White Supremacist Groups. This isn't something I read, those are the words/numbers straight from his mouth. What a play-to-the-cameras buffoon.

Prayers for John McCain

I disagree with him on much - I almost abstained from voting in 2008, although my partisan loyalties would lead you to think otherwise - but I join in wishing John McCain success in his fight against cancer. Prayers Senator.

Huh Bernie?

Wait. Bernie Sanders wife is being investigated for bank fraud . . .and he goes on CNN and blames the President? It's not her first shady deal Bernie. Get over yourself.

The GA Congressional Race

If the numbers I've seen are accurate, Trump won GA-6 by less than two % points; yesterday Ossoff lost it by 5-6% pts. Any claim it is a closet Dem victory is woefully misguided.

And?

by me. Take care of your own problems. We've done quite enough for Europe since 1917, thank you.

The Firing of James Comey

Comey angered the Right by letting HRC off the hook; he angered the Left by his stunt before the election. He angered everyone else by misleading Congress and refusing to admit his mistakes. Why his firing is a surprise, much less labeled the act of a despot, is beyond my level of understanding, unless partisan hate now demands you protect this incompetent bureaucrat.

Behave on FB

I blocked someone on FB for the first time in . . . well, it might be the first time ever. It was not a FB friend but a FOAF (friend of a friend). They were on the opposite end of the political spectrum, which I can handle, but in addition to being wrong they were obnoxious, demeaning, and insulting, and I do not have the patience for that crap today. Buh-bye.

A President's Honeymoon Period? Nah

Somewhere in a grad school history course I read an essay that outed the "first 100 days/honeymoon period" of a Presidency as a media creation that didn't have legs. IIRC, Carter was the example used in the essay, which, again IIRC, was in a collection entitled "After The Fact." For that reason I've never paid any mind to such nonsense, no matter who was in office.

Today the GOP canceled a vote on a bill to repeal Obamacare, because they couldn't get enough Republican's to sign on. It's a pathetic performance by Ryan. The draining of the swamp needs to extend to the cuckold "leaders" on the Hill. DC changes NOW or this nation is finished.

Duh

Of course they're a theatrical production. And if I was a politician on the receiving end I'd simply say: you didn't vote for me. You aren't planning on voting for me. You wouldn't vote for me no matter what I do. Soooo. . . F off

Hillary has decided to join Jill Stein's Quixotic Wisconsin recount.

Stating the Obvious

If you want a Republic, respect the outcome of its Constitutional elections. To protest them is to argue on behalf of dictatorship.

Forward, not Back

A friend was happy Trump's election could result in a thorough investigation into the Clinton Foundation. I disagree. I think Trump would be wise to ixnay any further foray into Clinton's life. Not that there isn't shady activity to be found, but now is the time to lead the country forward, not bog it down in the past.
