BREAKING NEWS: The Brewers have traded Nori Aoki to the Royals for 24 year old lefty Will Smith. Aoki was the lone Brewer on my fantasy team, and a good one at that. I'll miss ya!

Fantasy Baseball

The text I posted on my fantasy baseball league's page, protesting a trade-in-progress: "So you're in last place, but you give the guy in 1st a) Hardy, who's on pace for 26 HR and 80 RBI, along with b) a pitcher due to come off the DL next week, in exchange for Tulo, who's out for 4 to 6 weeks. The season runs for *7* more weeks. Are we in a keeper league? Cuz short of that, I'm thinking someone's on the grassy knoll."

Fantasy Baseball

Lost the first three weeks of the fantasy baseball season. Won the next five weeks. Lost last week. Tied this time around. Top to bottom, a helluva lot more fun than fantasy football.

Fantasy Baseball

After five consecutive wins, it looks like I'm going to lose this week in fantasy baseball. "Lose" is an understatement: I'm going to be spanked and made to say Da-Da, thanks to some truly crapalicious pitching performances.

Dang you Homer Bailey and your 3 2/3 inning, 7 run outing. Your bad day may just tip the tables against me in a close week of fantasy baseball.

Fantasy Baseball

You want bad luck? Drafted Chad Billingsley, set to start today, just to make the arbitrary and fascist innings pitched minimum in my fantasy league: he promptly went on the DL.

Monday, April 8, 2013

I started the fantasy baseball season at 2-9-1, a RIDICULOUS result stemming from falling a single inning below the arbitrarily created 'minimum # of innings." Give my boys one more inning of work and we would have easily, *easily* taken 3 additional categories, and might have taken or tied a fourth - putting me at 5-5-2. Lesson learned: they're going to try and break The Danny by any means possible. From the ashes of your draconian, self-serving rules, The Slapjacks Shall Rise!

ISO

Is anyone on FB going to take part in a fantasy baseball league? I'm looking to join a free but competitive league on one of the major sites and would welcome the company.
