A TV for the Upstairs Hall!

The new (to us) TV that now hangs in the kid's hallway. Promise kept ya mutts. Thanks go to Socialist for mounting the hardware.

A Convo

Me: The Packers won the Super Bowl four years ago today.

Socialist: I know, I saw it when you posted it. I'm on Facebook now, I see all the things that run through your head.

Me: Kinda sad in there, isn't it?

Socialist: Pretty much, yeah.

Finally! Our New Couch

It took two months, Contact Six, daily calls, and in the end I picked it up myself with Socialist, but we FINALLY have our new couch.

Ugh

Yeahhhh, so this just happened.

Kudos to Socialist and JJ, both of whom were willing to help us out with rides this morning. The tire is now replaced. The rim was also damaged and cracked from the flat, but Ray Tann Tires patched it. They won't guarantee it'll hold. But since the alternative is a new wheel, I'm happy. Ish.

Yikes

This is what the outlet behind the tv looked like when i came home from work Friday. The surge protector that was plugged into it was also blackened and partially melted, but did its job and protected my electronics. After a miserable day without TV, Socialist came over to replace it Saturday,  in the process teaching me how to do it myself in the future.

Grouchy

I'm having a pretty crap*py day - if I was going to give details, you'd have read them by now - and to burn off some steam I hit the pavement and walked over to Socialist's house. From there we walked over to Goodwill to scope out some golf clubs for a starter set. I picked up a driver and a great golf bag, the latter being only $4.99. As this is my life we're talking about, the cashier initially refused to sell it to me, saying it was mistakenly marked and should have been either $14.99-$24.99. OFW lady, y'all wrote the tag, not me.. A nice driver and a great bag for just over $9 - a much better way to BLAAH than by shoving food down my throat.

Update: NLDS Victory in the 10th inning, courtesy of T-Plush! Fireworks went off in Bay View (literally) and cops are pulling people over everywhere, as the whole damn neighborhood is drunk (or just delirious w/ joy). Whoo-hoo!
