A Productive Day

Saturday my nephew Jonah and I rebuilt my front steps and I worked.  Sunday I visited my folks,  then we had a family dinner and played cards with the exchange student.  Monday I walked the kids to school, installed the porch railing with Eric, won my fantasy matchup to go 2-0, fought with my two teenage girls, and went for another walk with my two youngest.  Busy trio of days.

R-E-L-A-X? Uh, no!

To date, I consider this fantasy football season a pitiful disaster. Oh, btw, -- I have as many wins as the Packers. So it's past time to "relax" and start breaking some boots off in some as#es up in Green Bay.

Here are the results of my 2016-17 fantasy football draft for the Sad Sack Slapjacks (the pic leaves off Carolina's D). Last year I finished third in our highly competitive league. Your thoughts?

It's a Good Season (so far)

I'm now 6-1 in my fantasy league and in sole possession of first place, after just trouncing the former #1 team by fifty points to win my third A## Kicker Award of the season.

Football

With SF's defensive dominance tonight, I won my first fantasy matchup of the season.

WhoooHooo!

Whoo-hoo! The Sad Sack Slapjacks finish the season above .500 (7-6) and are playoff bound -  for the first time this millennium!  Quoting a text from Socialist: ". . .as your commish and as your friend, I'm happy for you."

I'm 1.80 points behind my opponent with Mike Wallace yet to play on Monday night; the other guy's roster is done. Plus the two guys I'm tied with for the last playoff spot seem to be on the way to losses. Disaster might still loom, but .   . .

Boo. Yah.

A grand come from behind victory snaps a two game losing streak in fantasy football. I am now 3-2, and because of the Sad Sack Slapjacks the only undefeated team in the league . . . ain't undefeated no mo'. Booyah!

in Which I Rant

I changed my fantasy lineup Tuesday night - Tuesday, for f*ing sure, because it was on break between classes. The new lineup displayed, changes were 'saved' and I did not return to the site until last night. . . to find that my roster changes were reversed. Gronk is on the bench, I have no K in the lineup, etc.

Way to go Yahoo. I did my job. Maybe you should do yours.

Maybe I did better in my draft than I thought. Yahoo has awarded my team the "Best Draft" medal, given to "the team with the most projected season points based on weekly optimal starting lineups"

The Draft

15 minutes until my fantasy draft. There was a Yahoo! outage and I wasn't sure if it was my comp or the site, so to be safe I moved to a second location. Oh, the pressure!

Opinions Needed

Need an opinion here; the second team in the draft is locked into a trade that forces him to lose his first round pick. I now have a shot at Megatron or Peterson. I also have Phillip Rivers on my bench as a 10th round keeper. I was just offered the following:

Manning You Let me Down

Andddddd, with Peyton Manning's lame fantasy stats yesterday, I lost my game by a hair and fall to 5-7, ending the playoff hopes for the Bay View Slapjacks. Curse you Denver, home of that vile Elway!

It's official, the Sad Sack Slapjacks are now 3-1 in my fantasy league after knocking off the league leader, and by morning I'll know if I share the top of the board.

Whew. Won my week 3 fantasy matchup by only 0.92 points. Now 2 -1 on the year
