Ha Ha. Grrrr

I'm Furious

A-Rod has been suspended for the entire 2014 season. I'm done with MLB for the year, if not longer. They won't get one dime from me.

A-Rod Update

The A-Rod story is heating up again. It turns out - and this is in the NY Times and verified by police records - that a car belonging to an employee of BioGenesis was broken into and that medical records were stolen from the vehicle. A prime suspect interviewed by the police? Gary Jones, a man working with MLB , a man whom all parties agree provided the stolen records to MLB. 

Want more? Again, in the NY Times and supposedly verified by private voicemail messages: a MLB investigator initiated a sexual relationship with Loraine Delgadillo, a nurse at Biogenesis, in an attempt to procure documents and statements from her against A-Rod. 

Still more: another witness claims he was pressured into false allegations against A-Rod after (he says) MLB harassed him and his family endlessly, even going so far as to follow his family when they went on vacation overseas. 

And literally hundreds of thousands of dollars have been spent on 'payments' to various witnesses by MLB. 

You may approve of Selig resorting to Hoover-esque strong arm tactics. You may not care that all the 'evidence' in the case is, at the very least, fruit from a poisoned tree. You may be willing to put aside justice and due process because of your emotional dislike of Rodriguez. 

I am not. MLB and Selig need to end their witch-hunt. 

And A-Rod, in the words of one baseball commenter, needs to "slit MLB's bloated belly and see what spills out."

My Yanks are Surging

The Yankees, resurgent since the return of Alex Rodriguez, are a mere one game back from a wild card slot. I hope/pray for the following: that A-Rod takes the Yanks on his shoulders and leads them to the post-season, brings home a ring, and gives a giant "F U" to Selig, Cashman, and the so-called  "Captain", Derek Jeter, who has consistently stolen the accolades and praise that Alex deserves.

A-Rod Update

If he was eligible, A-Rod's OPS (On-Base plus Slugging %) would rank 7th in the AL this year . . oh, and didya notice that after his game tying home run last night he made a "zip it" motion to a fan that had been mouthing off to him during the at bat? BEAUTIFUL. :)

A-Rod has been walked three times tonight, at least once intentionally . . . I 'ppreciate the respect, but let the man hit!

In Case you Missed it . . .

In case you haven't been paying attention: with A-Rod back on the field the Yanks have surged. They've won 5 straight and are now only 3.5 games out of a wild card spot. This, despite being declared dead in the water pre-Arod. Rodriguez, btw, was 0-3 with a walk, a stolen base, and a run scored yesterday

I should also mention that they've won 11 of 14 since his return. A-Rod I bow to thee!

My, that was a purty little home run A-Rod hit yesterday. Now 12 shy of Mays.

The MLBPA is a Joke

Controversial but entirely correct post of the day: The MLBPA is a joke. They wouldn't let Arod join the Red Sox in 2004 because he was willing to take a pay cut - *that* was unacceptable and stirred the union to action. But defend the collective and constitutional rights of the players? Step in and stop MLB from leaking confidential info with impunity? Stop MLB from "enforcing" bans that are not of the stated duration and seem to enacted in reaction to rules that change by the day? Nawwww, they'll let that slide.

BREAKING news from MLB: A-Rod diagnosed with non-displaced fracture in left hand, going on 15-day DL after being hit by pitch from Felix Hernandez. Damn!

A-Rod makes History - Again!

A-Rod makes history (again)! He just hit t his 23rd career grand slam, tying Lou Gehrig for the most all-time. I bow to thee!

ALCS Game Two

A-Rod, 0-2 in the bottom of the eleventh, blasts a game tying home run to the opposite field - and w/out full arm extension! Truly, my man love for A-Rod has reached unhealthy proportions.

Yankees win in 13 innings! One for the ages!

There's a Rumor . . .

Ok! magazine is running with a story claiming ARod has asked Goldie Hawn for permission to marry her daughter (Kate Hudson). This can't wait til we have ring #27 people? There's playoffs to worry about!
