Great Job Son!

Yesterday, completely on his own initiative, Smiley  prepared a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner of ham, potatoes, stuffing, mac n cheese, roasted mozzarella brussel sprouts, asparagus, biscuits, and two, count 'em, TWO homemade apple pies.

 

Smiley is fifteen.  

At 15 I couldn't boil water.

Estimated two more days of me eating stuffed peppers for breakfast, lunch and dinner because my kids wouldn't eat it when it was made for dinner. I think I'm done cooking. Ramen, canned soup, ravioli, cereal, and pb&j is now on every dinner menu. - Lisa

ISO - a cooking tip

Anyone know how Olive Garden prepares their broccoli? Lisa and I think it has to be steamed in some kind of broth - chicken is our best guess, but as it's probably used for vegetarian meals we'd concede to vegetable broth. No answer on their website - which, by the way, now features full recipes for nearly their entire menu. Can anyone provide some info?
