Pet Peeve

I do not care that this is a real word, originating in Middle English, that functionally is no different than the common American use of "while."

If you use "whilst" my inner voice starts screaming.  To my ears it sounds pretentious and irritating.  That's on me, not the speaker, but regardless: ick.

All in the space of a mere nineteen words. 

Good Lord. She's a college graduate (and a native speaker too).

I always wonder why people start a post with "delete if not allowed." Uh, thanks for your permission to maintain the site rules?? Lol

Is "over-exaggerated" an actual word/phrase? Isn't exaggeration, uh, exaggerated to begin with? At that point isn't it easier to just say "I lied?". It takes fewer syllables.
