Check out this JS article
Good article in today's Journal-Sentinel about Milwaukee connections to Pearl Harbor, which meant a chunk of the piece was devoted to the USS Vestal. My Great Uncle Leo was stationed aboard that ship during the attack.

70 Years On
Seventy years ago today the German's began the offensive that would become known as the Battle of the Bulge. My maternal grandfather fought in it, as did Lisa's; her grandpa Roy was captured and served out the war as a POW.

Impressive Credentials
One last post, cuz otherwise I'll never remember, and now the info will float forever on the web: Lisa is on the phone with her Dad discussing boxing and he just mentioned fighting Arthur Redden (a '68 Olympian and Pan-American Games Gold medalist) and Sugar Bear Williams.
