The End

That was a listless,  lousy way to end an emotional roller coaster of a season.

Sigh.

On Online Packers "fans"

Packers fans - the online version - are embarrassingly naive in general and ignorant of the game and the business behind it. Not to mention they write like they were held back 3x in second grade. You are, in part, representing me when you speak, so, ummmm - DON'T.

Ted Thompson

RIP Ted Thompson,  architect of a Packers ring and the man who drafted Aaron Rodgers.

Forrest Gregg

He was one of Vince Lombardi's favorite players. He was a first ballot Hall of Famer. He coached the Bengals to a Super Bowl appearance. It's a heck of a resume. But trustfully, what I remember of him are some dim recollections of him being named head coach of the Packers in the 80's, and a press conference where he announced his departure from the same.

RIP Packer. RIP.

A Sad Truth

I think the Packers have become the "Groundhog Day" team of the NFL. They keep repeating the same season over and over. Every year they stubbornly bring Dom Capers back and use their first draft pick on defense. Every year they are one of the youngest and most injured teams in the league. Every year they start out slow and finish strong. Every year they make the playoffs and every year their defense collapses at the most crucial point of the post season. -Jim F

Great game today, the Packers legitimately looked like a playoff caliber team. I don't know if you heard him say it, but Buck at one point said Russell Wilson's five interceptions in a single game was a "career high." Well, I should f'ing hope so.

That's a No from Me

Congratulations on beating an equally inept team, falsely raising hopes for the year, and giving Mike McCarthy a chance to stick around and run us into the ground. But, you know, by all means celebrate all over Facebook.

R-E-L-A-X? Uh, no!

To date, I consider this fantasy football season a pitiful disaster. Oh, btw, -- I have as many wins as the Packers. So it's past time to "relax" and start breaking some boots off in some as#es up in Green Bay.

The X-Files Reboot

Lisa, annoyed the NFC Championship was on Fox:
Aren't we watching X-Files tonight?

Me: Yup. It's on right after the game. For which I thank the Fox schedulers profusely.

Carson Palmer is a choker. It makes the Green Bay loss all the more pathetic.

I liked the new episode. Lisa, not so much.

Da Day

Just dealt with an openly rude customer service rep from DirecTV. Lisa do not let me forget to complain about her on Monday

Anyway, after a nice, largely pain free day I had to climb out of bed and take a painkiller. Waiting for it to kick in before trying to zzzz again.

And Listen up Social Media! Green Bay Packers B.J. Raji on #Flipgate, complaints about the OT rules, etc: "That's sucker stuff, man. We lost the game. We should've won."

A String of Comments Regarding this Horrendous Special Teams Travesty

Hey Russell, good thing you're pimping Obamacare on TV, since your passer rating needs some life support. #overrated

I expect this kind of behavior from the Brewers, but the Pack???

Pathetic. A Brewers quality collapse.

My reaction to the loss, while largely restrained (although I may have wished a fiery plane crash on the Seahawks), has still resulted in Lisa attempting to resurrect her ban on watching any sports in our home.

Watching the AFC championship game to find out who to root for in the Super Bowl. #AFChasmyvote #anyonebutSeattle

So, many of Seattle's ballyhooed "12" left the stadium early, thinking the loss was guaranteed. That says a lot about the quality of their bandwagon fan base. Then again, I'm jealous that they didn't have to watch that ridiculous collapse. #GoPats #stillpissed

Victory baby!

Was out at the grocery store with Lisa's step-mom when a stock boy broke the news of the Packers' win against the Cowboys. (It wasn't a catch Dez!!)

I take full credit, as today I wore a Packers shirt for the first time in my adult life.

You're welcome Wisconsin.

My mother-in-law paid Junie a buck to be quiet during the Packer game. "It was very hard, but I did it!" Junie proudly told me. LOL Classic!

LOL, she was so very good this weekend, but it was a Packer game...

Today in Danny Land

I was disgusted by Anya and Mondo's poor sportsmanship on this past Project Runway: Under the Gunn. Their behavior towards Natalie was pathetic. Go Team Nick!

Oh - and  Julius Peppers is now a Green Bay Packer!
