RIP Chris Cornell

Of the big names from the Grunge scene that I loved, and love still: Layne Staley and Andy Wood died of heroin (as did Scott Weiland), and Chris Cornell and Kurt Cobain by suicide. The last frontman standing, a mere quarter century in, is Eddie Vedder [knock on wood.] 

What a depressing day for my generation. 

RIP Chris.

Pearl Jam is playing the Bradley Center on Lisa's birthday/my Dad's birthday (Oct 20th). A little too close to some big events to part easily with any $, but it sure would be nice

I'm Joking, I'm joking

Twice in recent weeks I've been asked how "you" - meaning a conservative - could be a fan of lefty music, up to & inc. being a member of Pearl Jam's fan club. Easy. I simply alter the lyrics in my head to reflect a more appropriate social message. "Screamed and bit the recess lady's breast"" - I think not. "Dreamed of always doing his very best" - there ya go Eddie, Danny made it all better.
