Lunch with Nolan and Throh
Recently Smiley pressured me to download and start playing Pokémon Go again, as he and YaYa are pretty avid fans. I acquiesced and brought up my old Level 5 account from 2016 - which was really Smiley's at the time, because he was too young for a phone - and I've already advanced to level 20 in a short time.
Today at work I took lunch on the patio with Nolan, and look who decided to join us - my boi Throh!

Pokemon Go!
The Pokémon's encouraged the oldest to take the youngest by bike to swim class. I don't care what anyone says, this game is awesome! Love my bookends! Thx Pokemon & YaYa

My Thoughts - Pokemon Go and A Joyless Society
What's with all the crazy hyperbole about Pokemon Go? It's been out for what, a week, and there are news stories warning the public that it can track your data, that criminals will ambush you, that inevitably someone will walk into traffic, etc. I even saw a police department issue a PSA about it. What is it with this country that anything innocent and fun must instantly be s### on? What a sad, pathetic little culture we've become.

Pokemon Go
We are currently wandering about a mile and a half from home, searching for Pokemon using the Pokemon Go app. I must say, it's a fun little activity, and a good workout.

A Walmart Run
I took Smiley to Wal-Mart yesterday to spend the gift cards he got for Christmas. We spent about twenty seconds in the toy aisle before moving on to the art and crafts area.
I was pleased to see him pick out a grow your own trilobite kit we considered buying for Christmas, but in the end my boy spent his $20 on Pokemon cards.
