Lisa's at Country Springs for LK's birthday (prepaid before the card number was stolen) and while the kids are having a blast, neither the TV nor fridge are working. The front desk clerk wasn't going to do anything about it until Lisa had me call; they've now been moved. The clerk is the same one that took my reservation last week, and she's just about as ornery and unhelpful a front desk clerk as I've encountered. And brother, I've known a few in my day.

My Mom's Birthday

 Me and the Bookends stopped by to pay our respects to my Mom on her birthday. Junie made a card and gift bag, and I gave her a painting I made.

Happy 70th birthday Mom! I tried calling at around midnight but no answer. I love you!

Dave and Busters

Lisa and I were going to try this place solo, but Smiley wound up coming along, and then LuLu Stacey C, and OJ's friend Richard called and said they were unable to skate as planned, soooo . . . My birthday Eve date night featured four kids, even if two weren't mine!

My verdict on the joint? Prohibitively expensive, mind numbingly loud, and full of arcade games that fail to appeal to me because I'm, you know, a grown up. Good food tho. Still, I doubt I'll return.

After a dinner of Popeyes (his choice) and a small cake, we did our family's Polish blessing on my birthday boy

 My Mom, following tradition, called at midnight to Smiley a Happy Birthday. (his other Grandma had wished him a FB Happy Birthday on Sunday.)
