A Horrible Experience

So I was robbed and attacked the other night...I won't post pics because it's pretty gruesome. Sixteen stitches in three different parts of my face, bruising and swelling. Not thrilled with the way the cops treated me, list that on the list of reasons I've been disappointed by Milwaukee police. But anyway, I can say from experience, yes the gun looks bigger when you're looking down the barrel and faces don't do well from being pistol whipped. Start the lovely comments about me and my character below, I could use the love! Xo - Lisa

Our New Counters!

Our counters are beautiful... Can't wait to see it all come together.... 10 years in the making! - Lisa

Dig Two Drives

A fine thriller with what may or may not be a supernatural edge. I genuinely enjoyed it.

The Cabinets and Counter are Here

Got the cabinets delivered and I just had to unbox one and take a peek.... And now Gus Gus is trapped in the cabinet. I shouldn't be surprised, it's just another box in his mind I suppose! - Lisa

Jesus washed his disciples feet. I think we forget that too often. Be humbled. We should all care about each others experience. Even tho many I love disagree... I personally completely agree with the message of Trump's slogan 'make America great again' being problematic.... When and for who was this greatness? Hmmmm..... - Lisa

The Cloverfield Paradox

A Netflix exclusive set in the expanding Cloverfield universe. It's been much maligned by critics, but screw 'em - I thought it was very entertaining.

Patriots 34 - Falcons 28

That was arguably the second greatest Super Bowl of all time, right behind XLII. To be down 28-3 with only minutes left in the 3rd quarter, and come back to win . . . wow.

I don't like the Patriots, but I respect them immensely. I think, had the Packers been in the Super Bowl, that the Pats would have rolled over our D from the start and robbed the world of a great comeback. BUT I'll go on record as saying Ryan's mobility and clock management were abysmal compared to what you see from Rodgers on any given Sunday.

Great Super Bowl

A Bustle in Your Hedgerow

This gun is set up in a hedgerow. When I saw it today, it was a pleasant reminder that there's always something left to learn. For 35 years I've read about the fighting in the hedgerows during the Allied invasion of France, and until today I had no idea what they were; my mind had filled in the blanks with an erroneous idea. Well done Instagram.

This Is Us

I don't regularly watch This is Us, but with all the hype and leadup to Jack's death:

Jack died like a f-ing man. If you're gonna go, go out like a badass. Well done sir.

The Love Boat and an Eagles Win

Junie and I spent most of the Super Bowl watching the Love Boat  2hr special with Menudo and Lana Turner,  but I did tune in for the 4th quarter.  The Patriots just can't handle the NFC East in February.

Congrats to the Eagles  - a team I'm told refused to kneel for the Anthem all season.

The World Misses You Buddy

59 years ago today the world lost the great Buddy Holly. May he rest in peace, knowing his music lives on.

Greta Van Fleet

Someone (probably Dan r or Mike C) mentioned listening to Greta Van Fleet,  so I picked up the CD. My literal thought as it played? "Holy s----, maybe rock isn't dead." They sound like Zeppelin with a wee bit of Heart  - so much so that it's like Zep made a secret album in 1969 and asked its release to be delayed by 50 years.  Great album,  great band.
