Hypocrite Much?

The youngest Clinton is on record scolding her friend Ivanka over her Dad's history with women. Maybe Chelsea should question *her* father on his harassment, exploitation, and alleged rape of women over a thirty year period. How about that?

Polling

While, at this date, I find a Trump victory unlikely, do not buy into any polls that show a widening lead for Clinton. Trump is most likely affected by inaccurate polling because most supporters are unwilling to publicly risk attack by admitting allegiance. In the electoral world, this is known as the Bradley Effect (after a California race where liberals were too embarrassed to admit they were voting against a black man), and/or the Shy Tory Effect (named for British voters who were embarrassed to admit to being conservative).

If nutty Elizabeth Warren is chosen as Clinton's VP candidate, I may have to suck it up and vote Trump for sure. This election sucks.

C'mon Hilary

Clinton said today that if you're under investigation by the FBI you shouldn't be able to buy a gun (presumably until that investigation is over). I agree. But once again, I think she has a tin ear for irony: YOU are under investigation by the FBI. So you aren't trustworthy enough to buy a pistol, but you're good to go with nukes?

Before you read too much either way, I'll post things supporting both Presidential candidates because at this moment I'm not sure how I'll cast my ballot. I'd prefer to vote for neither, but I've never missed an election and won't start now. And spare me the 3rd party argument. This isn't a parliamentary system and I'm not going to waste my vote.

LOL

Forget the politics, this meme is dead on!

Another Defense of Clinton

Also, let's stop attacking Clinton for saying she is a trailblazer and trotting out Victoria Woodhull.

You know everyone who posts about it had to Wikipedia that name, if they even bothered doing that much work.

Woodhull "ran" for President as a candidate for a minor party in 1872. Aside from the pesky lack of votes she got, she was under 35 and Constitutionally ineligible when she ran. All power to her, and she sounds like a great lady, but be real - Clinton is the first *true* female Presidential candidate.

Criticize on facts, of which there are plenty, not horses**t.

America, 2016

Just stop

Hilary Clinton tweeted Donald Trump and told him to delete his account. She should fire the intern that wrote that. The Queen of deleting emails should never have brought up the subject. The jokes write themselves.

1964 Redux

So Romney has cast himself as Nelson Rockerfeller to Trump's Barry Goldwater. It's 1964 all over again.

Jeb is Out

The NY Times is reporting that Jeb Bush has suspended his campaign for the Republican nomination. It was expected, but I won't pretend it doesn't upset me. He was the only candidate I considered worthy of my vote. I l knew he wouldn't win in this crazy year, but I hoped he would stick it out and be the '64 Rockefeller to Trump's Goldwater and represent the soul of our party. What a shame.

The Media

Picture #1 (dark background) is from ABC News, who as part of the liberal MSM, did their darnedest to frame quotes from the GOP debate in the worst light possible and devoid of context. Their FB entry on this one is boiling over with hate from Hispanics in the comment section, and ABC rubs their hands with glee.

Pic #2 is from the BBC, who, lacking an agenda, concentrated on the actual gist of the statement. You know, like actual *reporters*.

Sad News from Mitt

Mitt Romney announced today that he will not seek the 2016 GOP nomination. I'm saddened by the news, although I didn't like his chances for winning next November. As I said in 2012, the ideas he expressed in his book were some of the most intelligent I've read - and I've read a bunch of them from both parties. Thank you for your service Mitt.
