Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez
Early 2020 is shaping up to be the year of binge watching TV. This docuseries on the infamous Patriots tight end was fascinating. But its impact was somewhat lessened by the inability to explain any motive for his actions, leading to a little too much speculation. Even so, this is well worth watching.

RIP to the Packers great, a fullback who held the team rushing record for an amazing 43 years.

Patriots 34 - Falcons 28
That was arguably the second greatest Super Bowl of all time, right behind XLII. To be down 28-3 with only minutes left in the 3rd quarter, and come back to win . . . wow.
I don't like the Patriots, but I respect them immensely. I think, had the Packers been in the Super Bowl, that the Pats would have rolled over our D from the start and robbed the world of a great comeback. BUT I'll go on record as saying Ryan's mobility and clock management were abysmal compared to what you see from Rodgers on any given Sunday.

The Love Boat and an Eagles Win
Junie and I spent most of the Super Bowl watching the Love Boat 2hr special with Menudo and Lana Turner, but I did tune in for the 4th quarter. The Patriots just can't handle the NFC East in February.
Congrats to the Eagles - a team I'm told refused to kneel for the Anthem all season.

Say No to the NFL
Aannnnnd the NFL won't do squat to stop their employees from disrespecting the National Anthem. This is why FU to the NFL. I've not renewed my Sunday Ticket subscription and I've dropped ESPN from my cable package. Let the league wither and die for all I care.

Boycott
In the wake of ESPN and the NFL turning into Anti-American propaganda sources, I've dropped ESPN from my cable package and I'll not be renewing NFL Sunday Ticket. I'd boycott the b@stards completely but Socialist is so enamored with his fantasy football league that I'm obliged to participate (I did try and find a substitute but no luck). Between you and me, if both entities went belly up my only sympathy would be for the people of Green Bay.

A Sad Truth
I think the Packers have become the "Groundhog Day" team of the NFL. They keep repeating the same season over and over. Every year they stubbornly bring Dom Capers back and use their first draft pick on defense. Every year they are one of the youngest and most injured teams in the league. Every year they start out slow and finish strong. Every year they make the playoffs and every year their defense collapses at the most crucial point of the post season. -Jim F

That's a No from Me
Congratulations on beating an equally inept team, falsely raising hopes for the year, and giving Mike McCarthy a chance to stick around and run us into the ground. But, you know, by all means celebrate all over Facebook.

Kaepernick is a bum, but a bum with rights
Colin Kaepernick has a right to protest as he wishes. The fact that he makes millions, simply by virtue of being born in a country that values his skills, doesn't negate his ability to argue on behalf of those making far less money, whether you think his cause is just or not.
Likewise, the fact that TimTebow was mocked and minimized for his utterly sincere belief in Christ does not, in return, grant you the power to shun Kaepernick out of spite.
But before you think I went all lefty-loosey, think again.
He did not protest in the past, when his money was being negotiated and deals made, and when he was riding an over-hyped path to stardom. No siree, not then. Not when he supposedly experienced police impropriety in college, not when Trayvon Martin was killed, not when Ferguson erupted, not when Chicago and Baltimore turned into a killing field for blacks No, not then.
Now, when he's a bench player that can't get a starting gig, NOW he deems it important enough to make his point, and coincidentally make things mighty uncomfortable for the organization benching him.
I call B.S.
He's a piece of petulant, hypocritical sh*t, but even pieces of s*it have their rights.
Of course, the 1st amendment applies ONLY to the gov't acting upon your speech. An employer can do as they wish regarding the speech and actions of an employee, and I think the NFL is eager, if possibly unwilling, to grant him a permanent spot on the bench and out of the spotlight.

Super Bowl 50
I didn't have much of a rooting interest in the Super Bowl, but I found myself pulling for Peyton and the Denver D that helped me earn eleven wins in fantasy football. Great pitchers duel, pure defense most of the way, but Cam choked on the big stage - his conscious decision not to go after his own fumble sealed the deal. Dab on that Cam. Congratulations to the Broncos and the Manning family! #SB50
