The Weatherman Apologies

Welp. 4 inches of snow is a bit different than 17. But good on him for his honesty.

The calendar read April 27th, so naturally, in the course of a single hour, we experienced rain, hail, sleet, and snow, to go along with limited visibility on the roads. #yaywisconsin - Lisa

That Hurt

Just took a spill on ice 15 minutes ago. Right hand, left arm, and most importantly my bad hip, all feel the effect. I'm continuing my day (hell, I'm already across town) but ugh. Ugh. Ugh.

A Summer Storm

Power was restored at 12:26 am. It feels like another storm brewing. This just happened.

LOL OK Then

The storm has knocked out power in the house, yet I just saw someone leisurely biking through this mess.  Only in Bay View.

Makes sense

1.5 inches of rain after midnight and I wake up to sunshine and dry ground.  Makes sense.

Shoveling

I've shoveled twice today to keep pace with the storm. Once before school with the kids, and by my lonesome at noon. My hip is throbbing. Wanna take bets on how crippled I'll be tomorrow?

Lightning Crashes

The lightning slashing across the night sky, and the rain relentlessly tapping on the window, is both relaxing and unexpected. A thunderstorm on a brisk February night? And a winter storm warning for later in the day? Wow.

Summer?

February 18th. Milwaukee, WI. Normal high: around 33. Today's high: 68. If this is global warming, I'll take it.
