Brake Fix
Smiley and I fixed the brakes on his bike. It was definitely not a "fix on the spot" kind of a thing, so we did the right thing by jettisoning the parade. God bless the bike tool kit I bought last month, it really helps to have just the right tool for the just the right problem. Unfortunately, we fixed it so we could take a ride to go pay the electric and cable bills, but the skies broke open and we got drenched. So it looks like it'll be a car ride instead. :(
I'm a Wreck
Hip hurts, eye is mysteriously twitching, my hand is sore, and I'm exhausted. Crap, just mail me an AARP card already.

The Finale to our Fourth of July
The night ended with a firepit, s'mores, and nighttime swimming and trampolining, while I finally got a chance to watch the disputed Bradley-Vargas bout. (thank goodness for a. hostess with HBO on Demand lol) GREAT DAY!

Agreed. If he's going to turn the White House into a Disney attraction, then he should have had it done for the most important day in the American year too. #Fail

Fireworks to Close the Night
Improvising after the road to our destination closed. Watching three different fireworks displays from the side of Ryan Road.
The field behind us is so filled with lightning bugs it looks like a Christmas display. Beautiful.
