Hero ( for a minute)

While we wait for the kids to complete their weekly dance lessons we often venture down the road to a thrift shop to pass the time.

On March 21st we took Junie with us before her class,and she fell in love with a rainbow colored stuffed bunny holding a basket containing two smaller animals.

Alas she put it down in the store and it for lost. Frantic searches for it failed to find it and she left in tears.
Something told me to go back inside and look again. A few minutes later I found it and received the biggest smile and hug a Daddy ever got.

I was her  hero, at least for the moment.

YaYa gets her hair dyed

On March12th Lisa took YaYa to get her hair cut and dyed. The end result was funky but admittedly a little mature; dark dark brown with a streak of light blonde in front.
It was original enough that it generated a ten minute phone call from her Catholic school principal, but the hair remains :)

Easter Egg Dyeing 2013

Today, Good Friday, we continued a tradition that we spawned years before we even had kids: Easter egg dyeing between the hours of 12-3, when we shut down TV/radio/internet to honor the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross. 

My four kids were there of course, as were Entourage's three; we were joined for the first time by Syndey, a friend of LuLu's and daughter of Lisa's friend.

The St Patrick's Day Parade

On March 9th Lisa bundled up the two little ones ( the other two were at sleepovers) and took them to the annual St Patrick's Day parade downtown. In an unusual move for us she allowed them to purchase souvenirs and whatnots; alas this greatly offended Lulu when she heard about our selective generosity!

I really don't like half days of school.... can't let em sleep in, and you get em back when they are the moodiest....and starving, lol.

The Butler did it! The family sat down together to watch the 100th episode of Psych and our votes yesterday carried the day!
