Helping Grandma Move

Team Slap spent most of the day helping Grandma move and unpack her new apartment (she's moved back to her original apartment complex, after being displaced for months by a fire)

Achille's Injury

Another chapter....Sunday went swimming and on the way to my car I turned my foot wrong and rupture torn my Achilles surgery is now on the calendar. Carol H thank you for the book. Smiley thanks for hanging out with me and grandpa this week. Lisa and Dan, Maureen F for your help  - Grandma J

Victory baby!

Was out at the grocery store with Lisa's step-mom when a stock boy broke the news of the Packers' win against the Cowboys. (It wasn't a catch Dez!!)

 I take full credit, as today I wore a Packers shirt for the first time in my adult life. 

You're welcome Wisconsin.

My mother-in-law paid Junie a buck to be quiet during the Packer game. "It was very hard, but I did it!" Junie proudly told me. LOL Classic!

LOL, she was so very good this weekend, but it was a Packer game...

Happy Anniversary

Congrats to Jeanne and Jaspare on their wedding anniversary (26 by my count)! Also, a big shout out to Faith, who graduated from 8th grade today. Congrats kid!

Lisa's mom took YaYa to see Night at the Museum yesterday, and my oldest girl thoroughly enjoyed it.

On the way to school this conversation took place:

"And you know that President in the movie?" she said.

"Teddy Roosevelt?" I said, guessing by the preview.

"Yeah, him. Guess what? The actor who played him WAS THE VOICE OF THE GENIE IN ALADDIN!"

"I heard him talk and I was like [cue bug eyes] Grandma that's the Genie!"

"He must be like a famous actor or something, huh?"

She was speaking, of course, of Robin Williams.

My Mother In Law's Retirement

On June 22nd my Mother-in-law threw a combined retirement/60th birthday party. As part of the party she rode a Harley for the first (and last?) time, echoing her 50th birthday where she rode a roller coaster for the first time.
