No Way!

A scant $19/ hour to be an elephant *zookeeper* at a major American zoo? Hellllll no! It sure makes me think less of a profession I've always admired too.

Tua Pasta-Miilwaukee

Today Lisa and I went with my cousin Mindy to Tua-Pasta, along Milwaukee's River Walk.

You choose the ingredients you want, and they cook it right in front of you - an Italian version of a Subway restaurant, if you will.

The best gellato (ice cream) I've ever had and they make it all in front of you! The liquid nitrogen cloud was super neat! - Lisa

As for me, I wasn't awed by the food, in large part because I chose poorly - I wanted to keep the calories down, and chose things that didn't speak to me. That's on me.

Jackie Mason

Comedian, actor, and former Rabbi Jackie Mason has passed away at 93. RIP.

in anticipation of the Bucks game tonight. . .

World Champions!!!!!

My hometown Bucks have done it,  coming back from an 0-2 hole in the Finals to win the championship for the first time since 1971!  I couldn't be happier for this town!

The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

Although it grabbed my attention at first, it eventually becomes an overly complicated mish-mash of genres with a pat Scooby Doo ending.  The author can turn a phrase,  but I think he overreached. I'm in the minority tho, because I've heard nothing but praise for it elsewhere.

PSA

I've seen drownings. It isn't pretty. Let the beach ball go!

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (the novel)

I loved this novel, the first by Tarantino, as it expands on the wonderful universe he created in OUATIH. I adore the movie, so I cop to being biased, but I really think the book was swell. Order it!
