LOL, Of Course Not!
Of course not, that's silly. An election hasn't been rigged since Bernie Sanders ran, and that was a whole nine months ago. Stop living in the past
Central Intelligence
Hilarious, but Lisa quit on it with a half hour left, saying the comedy was done and the rest would be an action flick, and she was largely correct.

Grr
I helped YaYa with her AP History homework and was appalled at the content. Four questions on the Roman Empire, an equal number on China, but scads devoted to obscure nations whose influence spread no further than their contemporary borders. Plus loaded questions asking the student to point out the wrongs of the West, etc.
It's fine to teach and know a little bit about everyone, but I would not presume that Polish history trump studying about the Mongol invasion, the Great Wall, Egypt, or Athens.
Ladies and gentlemen, destruction from within.
On Labels
I get annoyed when people say "Don't label me!" in the course of political debate. Bah. Your opinions, whatever they may be, are not so unique as to stand alone. Being "labeled" a liberal or conservative or even a monarchist doesn't rob you of nuance or individuality within the scope of the grouping. A cat and a horse are both correctly labeled mammals, but no one argues they look and act and think the same.

Timeless
Another dang good episode. Are you watching this yet??
Man With A Plan
Matt LeBlanc's new show. You might recall that I thought the Mr. Mom premise was archaic and played out. I still think that, BUT that's really not the anchor of the show. It's a family sitcom, and it works really well. I LOL'd a few times, and believe it or not they paired Matt with a wife that actually looks like a typical American woman in her '40's. Huh. Will wonders never cease? Watch it!
20 Years!
In a few minutes I will have been married for 20 years to this awesome guy right here. Wow, time really does fly. It's been fun growing up with him, I know growing old with him will be wonderful too. Danny boo, you're a great man and I'm proud you're my best friend and husband of 20 years. I love you forever. Xoxo❤💋 -Lisa
Our 20th Wedding Anniversary
Twenty years ago today- that's five days less than my wife had spent on the earth at the time - this happened.
Anyone that says their marriage has been free of conflict, and immune to periods of turmoil is either a liar or single. For us, the good days have far, far exceeded the bad. In twenty years we've made four great kids, but even if God had chose not to bless us with them, I still married my best friend and a heck of a hottie; I think we would have been just fine.
I had big plans for our 20th anniversary, but (typical Pisces) it didn't pan out. No matter. For the 25th, we go all out.
You heard it here first.
Happy Anniversary Sinatra!

Tell me Why
Someone explain to me why I pay for four other phones in this house and not a damn one answers when I call.

Happy 15th Birthday!
Happy Birthday!
It's been a blink of an eye since my YaYa was born, but here it is 15 years later by the calendar. I love you very much kid and I'm proud of the maturity you've shown in recent months. Thank you for making me a Dad 15 years ago, and finally giving me a job I'm good at (most days). ;) Happy Birthday GC!

Star Trek
S1/E14 "Balance of Terror." The first encounter with the Romulans in TOS, and a tense cat and mouse fight with war at stake. This episode surely laid the groundwork for Wrath of Khan.

No Nanny State
It angers me when Presidential candidates - and this goes back years - talk about taking care of my kids, or my family, or even my own happiness. I have a Mom & Dad already, thank you, and so do my kids. YOU are running to be Commander in Chief. You worry about keeping us out of war, or winning one when you can't, and once in awhile fret about the economy and the infrastructure. That's your job. I'll take care of mine. #NoNannyState
True Love. For real tho.
Today is Lisa's birthday.
Me: (to coworker) I can't believe in a few minutes I'll be married to a forty year old.
Her: Woman age like wine. How would your wife feel if she heard you talk like that?
Me: If my wife heard me say I prefer a 40 yr old Lisa in my bed to the 18 year old version I met, she'd laugh and call me a liar.
Which she did when I called to wish her a happy birthday. #StoriesOfTrueLove
