Dinner at Palomino's
Last night Lisa and I dined at Palamino's, a restaurant/ bar in Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood. We split a bowl of chili and a pulled pork sandwich plate.
I found the chili very appetizing, if a little sweet, but thought the cornbread was too dry. Lisa, on the other hand enjoyed the cornbread - a first in my memory - but wasn't thrilled with the chili.
We both enjoyed the large (and messy!) sandwich and the ample portion of fries.
We'd definitely eat there again.
Sawyer
We adopted a brother for Huckleberry (on March 4th) and named him Sawyer, iykuk. They say he's 2yo but his paws and behavior say puppy all day. Here's a picture of him...in movement as usual! - Lisa

RIP William Hurt
Oscar winner William Hurt has passed of prostrate cancer, age 71. I remember him best from "Children of a Lesser God," but the kids probably know him from his appearances in the Avengers movies. RIP

My Thoughts - The Milwaukee Public Musuem
Repairs are needed, but I'm conscious of the deliberate portrayal of their woes that the Milwaukee Public Museum is crafting in the media. They want a new, smaller, building, and they're in full spin mode to get it. 100 million in (alleged) deferred maintenance does not somehow make a quarter billion dollar move justifiable. My vote is NO.
RIP Emilio Delgado
Emilio Delgado, who played the iconic Luis, owner of the "Fix-It Shop" for 40 years on Sesame Street, died today at the age of 81.
RIP sir, you were a big part of my early childhood.

Sto Lot!
With the day almost over I don't want you to think I forgot it was Smiley's 17th birthday! We celebrated yesterday, being the weekend, with a friends only party at Axe Milwaukee and a family get together after at our house. Sto Lot my son - I'm very happy you were born!
