An Update on Frappe

Big mama has really flourished this year! The pics in the bucket are when I first got her and she had layers of unshed schutes from incorrect diet and lighting. Think if you never shed your dead skin and it was stuck to you in layers. The pics in the pool are from today!!! Her true colors have come out!! Next year you will see a post about the progress of the spiked edge of her shell! - LuLu

 

Happy Flag Day

Happy Flag day everyone. A word of caution: throughout my life notable events, good, bad, great, and awful, seem to take place on this holiday.  So I wouldn't advise crossing any railroad tracks with me today, just in case. 

Lime Cantina in Cedarburg

Lisa and I drove up to Cedarburg to dine at the Lime Canina, in large part because of their mole chicken. Alas, they had changed their menu. That was ok, though, because THIS meatball appetizer, complete with mole and avocado sauces, was sublime. 

The mini chimichangas? They were OK, although Lisa really liked them. The barbacoa tacos were the bomb diggity tho. 

30 Years Ago Tonight

Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman were murdered. 

Most of the attention about that event is focused on the aftermath, the trial and aquittal of Nicole's ex, OJ Simpson. 

But  . . . 

The victims themselves should not be forgotten. Tonight, think of them, and the fact that their lives, their happiness/ sadness, indeed their very future, was taken from them. 

Honor them in your prayers.
