Junie Makes Pasta

 She’s making pasta. She didn’t get it from us. Homemade spaghetti for dinner. I’ve never made homemade pasta. -LIsa

 People still out here throwing parties, WOW. Just WOW. Although the SO and I don’t always agree I’m extremely grateful we agree on following the governor’s guidelines. I can’t imagine the fear and anger exchanged if we didn’t!!!! Hearts going out to a loved one with issues related to this. I love you! - Lisa

 Alarming for sure is Patrick Cudahy running as usual, producing food products after TWO confirmed cases. I haven’t even heard if they’ll agree to have everyone tested. Does anyone have any inside information about this? - Lisa

Frank Serpico

I found this documentary pretty boring. It isn't that Serpico didn't do great and courageous things as an honest member of the NYPD -- that he did.

The problem is he did them nearly 50 years ago, and (for medical reasons) has done little else of note. Moreover the story of his actions has been retold so often you have to wonder what point the filmaker was trying to make by dragging the man back in front of a camera.

So, to summarize: big fan of the man. Not a big fan of this documentary about him.

 99 years ago the Spanish flu killed up to 100 million world-wide. 600 in ONE day in Philly. This graph shows why we stay home. I support keeping things shut down as long as the medical experts recommend! A 10- year re-build is better then 100 million deaths in a few months. Learn from Philly. Don’t be Philly. Tiger King

 Highly recommend “Tiger king” Netflix docu-series. Drama, murder mayhem and foolishness, PLUS lots of big cat footage (my fave).

Binged watched my ass off. Won’t teach you a damn thing and you won’t care. The train wreck you just can’t get enough of.

Yesterday I ordered needlessly expensive pizza I didn't really want or need from a local place that's lost most of its business in the quarantine - and I even tipped on the carryout . #CoronaHero

Black Christmas

In summary: a group of man hating college feminists are the victims of disproportionate and violent retaliation by those they demean and oppress.

It wasn't awful to watch, and mildly entertaining even, but no one will recall this dreck in five years.

Do better, Hollywood. 

TIGER KING

TIGER KING is a 7 part docuseries about Joe Exotic, a big cat breeder convicted of hiring someone to kill animal activist Carole Baskin - who herself may have got her start by killing her husband and feeding his body to tigers.

It's a somewhat rambling and unstructured walk through a village of idiots, but it is also a thorough and riveting tale that will keep you interested. 

And, a Netflix miracle: by the end you are either rooting for Joe, or rather somewhat sympathetic to his fate, largely because you grow increasingly skeptical of Baskin's motives and history as the series unfolds.

Worth a binge watch during the quarantine.

For anyone feeling guilt, know this: We are eating and sleeping and staring at screens as much as possible through this and I’m 100% ok with it.

You don’t have to keep up with anyone. Keep peace in your households. They’ll be time to make-up whatever anyone gets behind in. Just love each other.
