Just One. Please.
I would like one day where exhaustion isn't nipping at my heels. Just one. #BusyLife

What's Wrong with Me?
Two days in a row now I've walked out of the gas station and got in the wrong car. On day one I even set off an alarm, and STILL didn't realize it wasn't my Taurus until I saw the Diet Coke in the cup holder (we're a Pepsi family).
Apparently I'm an idiot.
Milestones
Awww. I just used YaYa'ss new age against her in a harsh, disciplinarian fashion for the first time. #milestones
My Scores
In order to clear the evening for YaYa's birthday, I pre-bowled for my league. (FYI, when you're the only person bowling in the building, it is LOUD. OTOH, it's much quicker when you don't drink shots between frames). I bowled a 97, 100, and 89.
ISO
Anyone have a truck or empty van my niece can use to move? And I'm still looking for boys 12-14-16 suit to destroy for Smiley's Halloween costume.
Very Very True!!!
#Truth. Some of mine from the dark years are . . . less than indicative of who I strive to be. I'm tempted to delete them when they pop up on Facebook's memory feature.

Facts
If you don't acknowledge real episodes of racism, you can't have any integrity busting the nuts of those who pull the race card just to get out of a jam.
Pumpkin Pavillion 2015
Junie and I just got back from a pumpkin carving event at the park. She chose the biggest pumpkin she could find, and dang if she didn't dive right in and do 80% of the cleaning and seed gathering herself, and a about 40% of the carving. I was super impressed! Unfortunately the park makes you leave the pumpkin behind, although in theory you can retrieve it over the weekend. Oh well - it was still a blast!
Barbie and Her Sisters in The Great Puppy Adventure
It's set right here, in Wisconsin!!
Lisa is obsessed with the lack of anatomical detail on the dogs. Quote (as the group faced great danger): "What's the difference? A dog without a butthole is going to die anyway." lol smh

You don't like disco?
Hate disco? Just admit you're intimated by a genre that encourages dance, and that you're not up to the task, you uncoordinated, flat footed ba$$ard. #truth

I firmly determined that my mannerisms and speech in public would always reflect the cheerful certainty of victory—that any pessimism and discouragement I might ever feel would be reserved for my pillow. - D.D. Eisenhower #GreatMan #Ike

Pro Tip
When you find that an author of a work of history places quotation marks around a word or concept that does not normally require it, your Spidey-sense should start to tingle.
Maybe the concept does have a duplicitous meaning, but more often than not it means the author has an agenda and is guiding her work within a less-than impartial framework. #Tip

Sick of It
I regret posting about my hip because I'm sick of talking about it. But to update; the pain tapered off. and by yesterday afternoon it was back to just my normal dull ache. Then midway through work it started again and I spent the shift icing it and popping Advil. Now it's comfortably settled into "worse than normal, but liveable."

YaYa's First Job
Thanks to her cousin Caitlin, YaYa landed a one night job at a local restaurant, filling in for someone that called in sick. While she worked her butt off babysitting over the summer, this marks my oldest' s first day at a "real" job. #ProudDad #ProudMom
Because she was working, YaYa got out of Mass tonight. Because I messed up the time, the rest of #TeamSlap (and LK's friend Alyssa) showed up for church after it was half over, so . . . you're welcome kids. Following Mass we treated everyone to a chicken dinner at the church. It was pricey, and may curtail some weekend activities, but church should be followed by a good meal. :)
