Do Your Jobs Right, Media
To repeat a comment I made earlier: not every consumer complaint, not every schoolyard drama, not every personal life event is *news*. It's fine for your Facebook page or diary, but I'm sick of seeing it reported by national news services. ABC/CNN, etc. needs to concentrate on issues and events of ACTUAL importance to the nation.
Halloween '15
The Halloween Party was a success, and I'll try and post pics tomorrow. Thanks to Tracy and Pam for their company and the fog machine, JJ for help with prep and for handing out candy, Alex and Trudy for the syringe moonshine shots, Capri's Mom for walking with us, my cousin Becky and her son for stopping by and taking Smiley and Junie out again, and whoever else I missed :) Thanks everyone!
It Begins
Just had our first trick or treater. A half hour early, they didn't speak English, and they got back in a car and drove off. Yes, I gave them candy)

Bowling
Party prep in progress, and with Lisa unexpectedly shorthanded I went and pre-bowled. I notched a 103, 102, and 115, marking the first time I crossed the century mark in all three games.

It's a Good Season (so far)
I'm now 6-1 in my fantasy league and in sole possession of first place, after just trouncing the former #1 team by fifty points to win my third A## Kicker Award of the season.
This isn't the Way to Run a Country
If you follow conservative news sites, and I doubt anyone here does, you'll note there is a crazy, 1964 vibe on the far right. Ryan isn't conservative enough to be speaker? He's an Obama wannabe? The establishment must be ignored and overthrown? WTH people, put away your tin hats and focus on getting elected and governing. That's the goal, not this Goldwater kamikaze bulls##t. It's like they want to lose just so they can claim the game is rigged.

ISO
We bought a second hand suit to rip up for Smiley's Zombie costume. The trouble is, when he tried it on he looked so damn good we're saving it for Christmas mass. So, if anyone has a boys suit to spare PLEASE contact me. Thanks.
Just One. Please.
I would like one day where exhaustion isn't nipping at my heels. Just one. #BusyLife

What's Wrong with Me?
Two days in a row now I've walked out of the gas station and got in the wrong car. On day one I even set off an alarm, and STILL didn't realize it wasn't my Taurus until I saw the Diet Coke in the cup holder (we're a Pepsi family).
Apparently I'm an idiot.
Milestones
Awww. I just used YaYa'ss new age against her in a harsh, disciplinarian fashion for the first time. #milestones
My Scores
In order to clear the evening for YaYa's birthday, I pre-bowled for my league. (FYI, when you're the only person bowling in the building, it is LOUD. OTOH, it's much quicker when you don't drink shots between frames). I bowled a 97, 100, and 89.
ISO
Anyone have a truck or empty van my niece can use to move? And I'm still looking for boys 12-14-16 suit to destroy for Smiley's Halloween costume.
Very Very True!!!
#Truth. Some of mine from the dark years are . . . less than indicative of who I strive to be. I'm tempted to delete them when they pop up on Facebook's memory feature.

Facts
If you don't acknowledge real episodes of racism, you can't have any integrity busting the nuts of those who pull the race card just to get out of a jam.
Pumpkin Pavillion 2015
Junie and I just got back from a pumpkin carving event at the park. She chose the biggest pumpkin she could find, and dang if she didn't dive right in and do 80% of the cleaning and seed gathering herself, and a about 40% of the carving. I was super impressed! Unfortunately the park makes you leave the pumpkin behind, although in theory you can retrieve it over the weekend. Oh well - it was still a blast!
