Netflix pays the big bucks to keep Friends!

Well deserved.

Good on the Bush Family

In contrast to the McCain family, the Bushes have stated they want no political/anti-Trump rhetoric at the funeral.  As it should be!

The Tax Bill

RE: the tax bill. In truth, I'd rather cut the bloated budget of our Nanny State, keeping revenue pat, and work down our deficit for a bit. But I don't subscribe to the hysteria about it; in fact that hysteria instinctively leads me to dismiss the charges, an impulse I force myself to ignore.

Three semesters of tax law gives me no special insight, other than I see positives and negatives in the plan (good riddance to the estate tax tho). The bill certainly isn't the end of the world or an "act of evil". That's drivel not worth acknowledging.

My Boy

Smiley, at Southridge Mall

Give this Holiday Season

I hope we made her Christmas extra special.  If you have a few bucks to spare,  pick up a wish list at a local church or store and do the same for a child in need.

Willis Tower

Lisa and I took Madita to Chicago as our birthday gift to her. @ Willis Tower

Christkindlmarket in Chicago

Racoon Valley

A deaf woman cannot hear the evacuation order that empties her small town after a plane crash poisons the areas water,  leaving her alone to face the creatures it spawns. Atmospheric and slow, it isn't for everyone, but I liked it.

The Bean

Never even heard of this Bean thing until YaYa visited it for her birthday last month. @ Cloud Gate

George HW Bush

RIP George Herbert Walker Bush. He was the first person I ever cast a ballot for,  and the man whose integrity and steadfastness converted this reluctant Democrat into a loyal Republican.  You served this nation well sir; sleep well.  #41

The Hornet's Nest

A documentary film composed of real life footage from a company of American soldiers involved in a costly nine day battle in Afghanistan. There's too much time devoted to the reporter's own story,  which seems cliche and forced,  but the GI footage is powerful stuff.

Harbinger

Alien on the ocean.  Literally.

Russia being Russia

This is not good
