Space X

The world of the here and now might seem bleak. But today an important step was taken for the future of the human race, should we ever pull our act together.

For Free

2 rolls of super pretty different sized orange, pink and green butterflies. They would be great for a kids room or an art project (scrapbooking) It used to have blue but those were used.

They aren’t super sticky so glue or tape might be needed. But I do have popcorn drywall so they may stick better to flat walls : ) - Lulu

The Baker

Her Great-Grandma Pickett would be proud. Junie has learned to bake different breads, cookies and pasta all from scratch during quarantine. They would have had such a good time together. ❤️ We won’t mention how much weight we’ve all collectively gained because of her new hobby.

A Miestone

Today is the day OJ has become the shortest of our four kids, with LK officially taller now. LuLu was holding out hope, but alas today that hope dies 🤣. YaYa...she’s coming for you. ❤️ I wonder if LK will make it to my height or if Smiley will make it to Dani’s height 🤔

100 years ago today!

100 years ago today the great Pope John Paul II was born!

Berry Boi

 Hello!

🐾 🐶🐾
My name is : Huckleberry Covid Slapczynski
My nicknames are: Huckle, Huck, Berry Boi, and The Huck or The Berry
My breed is: unknown but the shelter said I was a border-collie Mix. My family thinks I’m a border-collie and beagle mix!
***edit 6/1: I’m a bodacian! Half Dalmatian, half border-collie!
My age: I’m 7 months and this is my 4th month with my family! My birthday is November 27th!
Where did my family find me?: I was found by my forever family at MADACC. They went to look for a senior dog but were pulled in by my puppy eyes and took me home.
My favorite human food: I eat anything my parents give me! I love cheddar biscuits and bacon for sure! But MEAT ❤️
My biggest fear: my sister Angel. She is blind but she always seems to know where to find me!
My favorite thing to do: run at full speed through my backyard. I run so fast I sometimes forget there is a fence! Destroying my stuffed animals 🧸 isn’t bad either. I say that goose, lemur, squirrel, hedgehog, lion and fox just weren’t made very well. My family says they won’t buy me anymore, but yeah right!
The thing I dislike the most: water! It’s my worst enemy! Weirdly enough, I love snow!
Where do I sleep?: I sleep with one of my siblings on their beds most nights but you can always find me in momma’s bed or passed out on the living room floor!
Do I love car rides?: I love them. I stick my head out the window so I can feel the breeze. Once I’m tired I take a nap in the backseat.
Do I snore?: nope!

Memories

So many good memories. Gimbal’s basement with my grandma, Arthur treachers with my dad, chi-chi’s with Boston store co-workers. Blockbuster with Dan as young parents. Ah, good times! - Lisa

Congrats

Delayed because of Covid and a few other hurdles but Dan received this news today:

The Board of Bar Examiners has established that you have the requisite character and fitness needed to practice law in Wisconsin and has received certification of your legal competence from the Dean of your law school. You are therefore admitted to the Wisconsin Bar.

He was also sent a temporary certificate because the usual ceremony with all its pomp and circumstance in Madison has been cancelled. Congratulations babe! So proud! One more step...

VE Day

I've been busy all day, but I have not forgotten: today marks 75 yrs since VE Day.

I find it hilarious that the Covid protesters, who scream "Liberty!" and decry the Government "trampling on their Rights,' scream in horror - without any irony - at the DMV's decision to accept parental waivers in lieu of road tests. Now I disagree with the DMV too, but um, why Yon Protestor, are you now in favor of the State overturning the decision of a PARENT, and advocating the government be allowed to license and regulate a right to travel?
