After our traditional Christmas pancake breakfast (this year held at 4pm lol) I kept a long held promise to LuLu and took her to see WW84 on its opening day.  It was not awful,  but imo its script needed a lot of work.  Still,  it was fun to venture to a theater for only the second time since Covid, and a joy to accompany Lulu.

Great Job Son!

Yesterday, completely on his own initiative, Smiley  prepared a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner of ham, potatoes, stuffing, mac n cheese, roasted mozzarella brussel sprouts, asparagus, biscuits, and two, count 'em, TWO homemade apple pies.

 

Smiley is fifteen.  

At 15 I couldn't boil water.

 Yep, it’s that time of the season, 10 days prior when things start to get real on what’s still left to fund.

Most of my texts this morning sound something like: “we aren’t exchanging, don’t surprise me”, “you know that thing we discussed in Nov, yeah that ain’t happening”

Ahhhhh, the pressures, lol...very much why this is my least favorite holiday.

It’s very easy to forget the reason for the season. I need to find an Angel tree from the Salvation Army or church...does anyone have something they are doing they need help with?
