Black Orchid
Rollicking good fun, and no monsters or aliens to be seen! It's like Verity Lambert returned to produce the 5th Doctor!
Sam Shepard
RIP. I remember him best from "Country," although I know he was an accomplished playwright.
En route to Bay Beach
Lisa is on her way to Bay Beach with the girls. Junie was already in a bad mood when they left, OJ gets carsick, and YaYa is a teenager. I wish her godspeed.
As Smiley and I have the place to ourselves I suggested a house party and strippers, but Mr. Rules Keeper prefers to make popcorn and "enjoy the quiet." Ugh. #RaisedHimWrong
Sunday, July 30, 2017
Just argued with a liberal who hasn't heard of Charlie Gard. Apparently, neither Occupy Democrats or Maddow talked about him (I'm shocked), which means he should expand his news sources just a wee tad. I've turned off notifications for the post. No use arguing with the brainwashed.

Cars
To me, a car is nothing more than a means to get from A to be safely and reliably; I would rather visit a dryer lint museum than a car show. But I miss that "reliably" part and have to rectify that soon. There's a list of places I'd like to take the family.
Bay Beach
The secret is out... Taking the kids to bay beach Monday. Never been there, and I'm getting excited! -Lisa

A Dental Visit
In other boring news, the kids have now all seen the dentist for their back to school checkup. Smiley had a small cavity; the rest got a clean bill of health.

An ENT update
Junie saw the ENT and the replacement ear tube that was put in just last year is loose and resting on her eardrum. The eardrum itself is too thin to support a third surgery, so that's gonna be a problem. She's 4 foot 9.5 inches tall and 89.75 pounds.

A Reminder
Just a reminder: openly personal attacks and obscenities aren't allowed in discussions here. My page, my rules. TY in advance.
Great News!
Smiley's results came back negative - no cancer, thank God! It had weighed on Lisa and I all month. July's been a waste, a collection of days to push through until this news came. Maybe now we can get back to enjoying the summer.

Bible Camp
I signed my Godson up for a week long Bible camp at a local megachurch. It seemed like he had fun today, and Smiley enjoyed going to pick him up with me.

A Stolen Cart at Walmart
LuLu and I went to Walmart - the nice one in Cudahy. While I was looking at produce someone walked off with my full cart (which I assumed contained Lu's purse; she'd gone off to look at makeup.) It was nowhere to be found. When I told an employee their only response was "someone's just messing with you." Really?
Helpful hint: nothing enrages me like theft. Nothing. "Do I look like someone people choose to mess with? I find it before you do, I'm kicking their ass." I found the cart abandoned six aisles down. LuLu had her stuff with her, so there was no point to the whole thing. Oh, as I was leaving someone else complained that their cart had been taken. Ugh.

The Media
Everything you read, everything you hear, everything you watch is produced and filtered by people seeking to promote their agenda, or the agenda of their masters (or both ) - and yes, it influences you. It cannot fail to do so. Call it out when you notice their hand, and always ALWAYS think for yourself. Quit being their docile puppet. The media is NOT your friend.
About Time
People are *finally* being charged with arson and rioting near Sherman Park last year, and even while they report on it the local media calls it "unrest." The crime is literally rioting, and the MSM still doesn't have the balls to use the word. Pathetic.

Descendants 2
Junie is super excited for the premiere of Descendants 2 tonight lol. She's had it on the calendar and is messaging me about the behind the scenes preview 😀

Smiley's Stiches
Smiley's stitches look ratchet. Having them near the sweaty armpit of a preteen was not an act of Providence.
OJ Simpson is granted Parole
I'm very pleased that OJ Simpson was granted parole. Keeping him in prison on the robbery charges would have been simply punishing him for a prior crime for which he was acquitted. The Nevada Parole Board rose above the fray and defended the integrity of the justice system. I applaud them.

Doctor Who Products
These are some Doctor Who items I owned in the late '80's, having ordered them from my Doctor Who fanclub newspaper. Sadly, they are long since lost to time (pun partially intended).
The Menard's Bird
Last month when I was shopping at Menard's Smiley and I came across an injured bird sitting atop a pile of lumber.
We petted it for a moment, and then it went on my hand.
For the rest of the shopping trip I walked around the store with the bird on my hand, like Mary Poppins!
Just before it was time to go, the bird's wing seemed to straighten itself out, and it flew away!
