It’s been a life long habit for me of searching for the perfect word or phase. Today when my mom asked for us to drop off decaf coffee I watched myself type out “brand preferences?” when I could have just said “what kind?”
It was around third grade when I raised my hand to ask the teacher how to spell the word “vocabulary” when Jolene called me out for the first time with the now infamous words, “just write reading words like everyone else!”
