Random Bits
Yesterday morning Lisa and I saw a Tesla Cyber truck out on the road. That was a first.
Junie, it turns out, fell asleep in her room and never went to Summerfest the other night. Some parent I am, she was right under my nose and I had no idea.
Last week I was privileged to watch (on TV, from a hospital bed LOL) the 200th home run of Christian Yelich's career. That game ended on a spectacular catch by Sal Frelick. This week, Yelich picked up his 200th stolen base as well.
Around 945 last night I saw a deer in YaYa's parking lot when I dropped her off.
Lulu made us dinner, spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. It was divine.
I was Just Thinking
I was just thinking about this: outside of Trump, there are very few people who have ever ran for President, as a major party nominee, three times. Nixon (1960,'68', '72), FDR (1932, '36, '40, '44), and Cleveland (1884, '88, '92).
Anyone else I've missed?

Parenthood circa 2024
You would think that some anxiety would fall by the wayside as the kids grow up; heck, three of them are legal adults; one could even take me in a fight.
But nope.
Junie is down at Summerfest while a thunderstorm rages.
LuLu is out on a first date.
Smiley is in Illinois, where he and his friends were evacuated from Six Flags because of inclement weather and the danger of tornadoes.
YaYa, at least, is safe at home with her beau, texing me about Apple Watches.
And me? I sit here, not overreacting, but wishing they'd all get home already so I could rest easy.
Sigh.
