A Sunset

Ok, so when I'm upset I write. Sue me. :)

The following pic does not do the image justice. It was taken, by necessity, on my cell phone from a grocery store parking lot.

As the sun set a corridor of natural light cut through the blue/purple sky, looking as if it was emerging from the ground and rising to the heavens. It was honestly breathtaking. I don't think much or any of that translates into this picture, but it is what it is.

Oh, to continue the wicked, Dennis the Menace ways of Smiley - the kids are great fans of hard-boiled eggs. 'Seems he took an egg upstairs, I would think under the assumption it was hard boiled, and cracked it- all over my comforter set.

Nice.

  2. We do our best to NOT sue anyone. So write as much as you want.

As much as we wish pictures would convey the beauty of what we're seeing, it can never make up for seeing it in person.

  6. LMAO!  I've had eggs go missing too...luckily cracked into toys, well I guess that was lucky.  You should see if y'all have the Mad Science program around your area....Peyton LOVED that.  They made all kinds of cool science projects.  They even do birthday parties :)

that photo is very cool...i hate that the phone cameras don't do much justice...i took some pics of a double rainbow and they came out awful.
I just can't get over how cool that looks...we've had some amazing sunsets here in the last 3 weeks or so...amazing.  Must be something in the air.

  7. That's known as a "cerulean ray", and yes, they are amazing. Sometimes they happen on partly cloudy days, but the twilight emphasts makes that one special.

Dan, don't read the next aloud: Oh, Smiley! You've found something worse than picking the grout/sealant from around the bathroom basin and, consequently, flooding the below-sink cabinet.

  8. That light looks like it would be an AMAZING sight to see in person.... on the camera, your story just seems to have holes.... LOL!!  It looks like a spotlight going up from the ground... LOL!!  OK, I DO believe you!!!  Sorry about the egg mess... (especially, because I got a good laugh out of it), BUT to save you future headaches.... my mom used to mark hard boiled eggs with a black 'X' so we knew which ones we could eat, I'm sure stickers would be fun, too.

  9. I've seen those beams of light.  They're beautiful.  And kinda spooky.

We used to put a dab of food coloring in the water so you can tell hard-boiled from raw.
