I felt so ancient when I told my 11 yr. old granddaughter that Paul had passed and she said WHO? How sad. He was one of the greats.

He sure was a wonderful actor and also more importantly a very nice man. He has a charity in Ireland that friends of mine are involved in and they say he was lovely. He will be much missed. Love sybil xx

ahhhh so sad. I loved him...though Redford I liked more.
I was saddened to hear of this today. What a class act, and what a love story between him and Joanne Woodward...one of the few celebrity marriages that lasted for decades.

I would have liked to have seen a movie in which Newman and Rutger Hauer played brothers. They have similar enough features to be close kin. Ah, well, life is fleeting, art endures.
